CMA works closely with the local bishops to both follow their teaching and healing and comfort patients. Every medical professional is welcome to join and CMA events are open to everyone.
The Goals of the Catholic Medical Association are:
First Saturdays for Physicians -- "First Saturdays" is a grass roots initiative to help reconnect area Catholic doctors with Christ and His church. Under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit and through the intervention of Saints Cosmas and Damian, this collaboration of the School of Faith of the Archdiocese of KCK, the male branch of the Apostles of the Interior Life and the local guild of the Catholic Medical Association helps doctors reconnect by providing a combination of Mass, reconciliation, and a 30-45 minute catechesis led by the School of Faith Founder and theologian, Michael Scherschligt.
